Bank History
Although The Atlanta National Bank has been serving its customers and the community since the late 19th century, the roots of the organization actually reach further back into history. The first iteration of the bank, called the Exchange Bank, opened its doors in 1866, and would change it's name two more times in the ensuing years before becoming The Atlanta National Bank in 1887.
As Atlanta, Illinois, continued to thrive and grow, so too did the bank, expanding until it moved to its current location on Southwest Church Street in 1973. Twenty-four years later the bank expanded again, this time with the acquisition and opening of a new branch in 1997 to serve the residents of neighboring McLean.
Through it all, the officers and staff at The Atlanta National Bank have stayed true to the original mission laid out by the bank's founders: to be of service to the people in the communities they serve. This dedication is reflected in how the bank continually reinvests its funds into businesses and programs that directly benefit the citizens of Logan, McLean, Tazewell, and DeWitt counties.

Community Involvement
The Atlanta National Bank has been recognized for its record of meeting the credit needs of its entire community, including those residing in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods. We’re proud to have been recognized by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency with an Outstanding rating in 2018, based on criteria outlined in the Community Reinvestment Act.
The Atlanta National Bank’s Outstanding rating is a reflection of its continuing mission to provide customers with a range of products and services, including loans for ag, business, consumer and residential purposes. The recognition was based on a number of factors, including data integrity and lending performance. In awarding their Outstanding rating to The Atlanta National Bank, evaluators noted that the bank had exceeded the standard for satisfactory performance.
The Atlanta National Bank continues to be among the more reliable and accessible financial institutions for residents in Logan, McLean, Tazewell, and DeWitt counties.
